Accounts Assistant
The Role
This is a multi-dimensional position, working with a focused finance team responsible for managing the affairs of a substantial number of companies / entities involved in the construction and property industry within the Bennett organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing through various accounting packages Sage and Access Dimensions (A/P Invoicing & A/R invoicing)
- Managing Creditors and Debtors listings
- Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
- General ledger postings
- Debtor follow up and creditor payments
- Preparation of VAT returns
- RCT returns
- Management of insurance renewals
- Preparation of management and annual account
- Reporting to senior management
- Other ad hoc work as required
You will need
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience gained in a similar role
- Proficient in the use of Excel and Word
- Strong organisational skills with good oral and written communications skills
- Good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment
- A relevant qualification with a recognised professional body is an advantage.
