Bennett (Construction) Ltd were the main contractor on the new Velasco office block on the junction of Clanwilliam Place and Grand Canal Street, Dublin 2.
With eight storeys of flexible and efficient floor plates, this building has been certified to the international LEED Gold V4 standard for environmental and energy efficiency.
The project consisted of the demolition of the existing 4 storey Kestrel House office building and the construction of a new 6,573m2 - 7 storey in situ concrete frame office block with a lower ground and basement level. Structural steel v-columns support the level 2 overhang slab and structural steel supports the level 6 roof.
